1. Who we are
Shelfwise, Inc. (“Shelfwise,” “we,” “us”) provides warehouse and inventory management software at shelfwise.app. This policy explains what we collect from visitors to our website and from users of the Shelfwise application, and how we use it. It does not form part of any contract.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account details — the name, work email, company, and password of people we invite to a workspace.
- Access-request details — the name, work email, and company you submit through our request-access form, used to evaluate and set up a workspace.
- Usage and device data — standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to keep the service secure and reliable.
- Support communications — messages you send us and our replies.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers on our website.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to operate, secure, and improve Shelfwise; to set up and administer workspaces; to respond to support requests; to send service-related notices; and to comply with legal obligations. We rely on our legitimate interest in running the service, on performance of our contract with customers, and on your consent where required.
4. Customer inventory data
The SKUs, quantities, bins, suppliers, purchase orders, and related records a customer stores in Shelfwise (“Customer Data”) belong to that customer. We process Customer Data only to provide the service under our agreement with the customer, and on their documented instructions. We do not use Customer Data to train advertising or third-party models.
5. Cookies
Our website uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies — to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser; some features, such as staying signed in, depend on them.
6. Sharing & subprocessors
We share information only with service providers that help us run Shelfwise — cloud hosting, error monitoring, email delivery, and payment processing — each bound by contract to protect it and to use it only on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.
7. Data retention
We keep account and Customer Data for as long as a workspace is active, and for a limited period afterward so data can be exported or restored. Access-request submissions that do not lead to a workspace are deleted within twelve months. Logs are retained on a rolling basis for security and troubleshooting.
8. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege internal access, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and to notify affected customers promptly in the event of a breach that affects their data.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below; where we process Customer Data on a customer’s behalf, we will refer your request to that customer.
